It has already been reported that Amy Coney Barrett has visited President Trump and will likely be his next nominee to the Supreme Court. Mrs Barrett has been a long-time judge and teacher, is a mother of seven, a devout Catholic, and a constitutional originalist. There was even a point when she was a member of the Federalist Society, which is a group of conservative and libertarian advocates for constitutional originalism. In fact, she was a law clerk for the late Antonin Scalia, who may be one of the most famous originalists to ever sit on the Supreme Court.

All of these little details seem to be reasons as to why the political left is not a fan of hers. But we knew that already. When Barrett was being confirmed to the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals back in 2017, California Senator Dianne Feinstein told her that the “dogma lives loudly within you.” The implication was that Barrett’s Catholic beliefs would take precedence over her judgments on the law.

What is funny about all of this is that there really aren’t very many good arguments that her beliefs compromise her ability to do the job, nor against her adherence to the Constitution. If the point of the Supreme Court is to make judgment calls based on the Constitution and whether or not a law adheres to it, wouldn’t you want someone on the court whose priority is exactly that?

I do not believe that those on the left want that. Similar to their gripes with current Justice Neil Gorsuch, it seems they would prefer someone who subscribes to “living document” theory. This is a theory that completely ignores the fact that the Constitution is a legal document with legal definitions, and as such is meant to be the concrete foundation on which all law in the United States must respect.

Although all factory-produced foods contain at least some artificial preservatives, the new generation are packed with additives such as artificial sweeteners, colourings, emulsifiers to mix ingredients that would not naturally combine, preservatives to ensure foods don’t discolour and have months of shelf life — plus a variety of chemicals to disguise the sour or bitter taste of other additives.

There is no strict definition of a processed as distinct from an ultra-processed food — but a label on cheese, for example, will generally list recognisable food ingredients such as milk or cream first. A UPF will often list something called ‘crème’ to disguise an ingredient derived from pig lard.

But, as far as Professor David Haslam, a specialist in obesity management at Luton & Dunstable Hospital, is concerned, there is already enough evidence. ‘The chemical additives and excess carbohydrate [sugar] we consume multiplies up to a complete disaster,’ he says. ‘The message is absolutely clear. There are people who get this and people who don’t. We are screaming our heads off to get this message through.’

First the pandemic, which divided us, economically devastated us, and has killed nearly 200,000 of us. Then the racial unrest, erupting at the deaths of more Black Americans at the hands of police: George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Rayshard Brooks, Daniel Prude.

Now the extreme weather. For only the second time in history, the National Hurricane Center has moved into the Greek alphabet for storm names. This season’s wildfires are bigger, deadlier and more frequent than in years past. In the West, people can’t breathe.

And now a member of the US Supreme Court has died with about a month and a half to go until we get to election day.

Most of us just want to cling to the belief that someday we will wake up and everything will have returned to normal. That may happen in fairy tales, but this is real life, and real life simply does not work that way.

Additionally, the members of the WHO committee tasked with reviewing the evidence had conflicts of interest, including three having ties to GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), one of the manufacturers of DTP vaccines and the manufacturer of the experimental malaria vaccine.

WHO also receives funding from vaccine manufacturers, including GSK, Sanofi, and Merck. The single largest source of funding for WHO presently is the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, which promotes vaccines while holding investments in vaccine manufacturers including GSK, Sanofi, and Merck.

The public is repeatedly assured by public health officials and the media that “vaccines are safe and effective”, but in the absence of randomized placebo-controlled trials comparing long-term health outcomes, including mortality, between vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals, that statement is not justifiable. Vaccines do not undergo such trials before licensing. Nor are whole vaccine schedules studied for safety.

The prime minister reserved some of his most pointed language for resisting the left’s push for gender theory in schools. Christian democrats “expect schools to reinforce the sex identity that the Creator has conferred on each child at birth,” he said, “to help girls become fine and admirable women; and to help boys become men who are able to provide security and support for their families.”

“Schools should protect the ideal and values of the family, and should keep minors away from gender ideology and rainbow propaganda,” he added, while admitting that his words will seem shocking to the modern liberal mindset.

The strategy takes advantage of the presumed delay in determining the winner of the upcoming election (due to the deluge of mail-in votes). The interim period is expected to intensify partisan warfare creating the perfect environment for disseminating propaganda and inciting street violence. The leaders of TIP believe that a mass mobilization will help them to achieve what Russiagate could not, that is, the removal Donald Trump via an illicit coup conjured up by behind-the-scenes powerbrokers and their Democrat allies.

The coup plotters want a contested election that drags on for weeks, deepens divisions among the population, undermines confidence in the electoral system, instigates ferocious street fighting in cities across the country, and gives the Biden camp time to mobilize its political resources in Congress to mount a Constitutional attack on Trump.

Can we at least call this treachery by its proper name: Treason - “the crime of betraying one’s country by trying to overthrow the government?” If the shoe fits…

Trump stories are rarely about Trump. The same stories, or versions of them, would have targeted anyone who threatened to sever the American political, corporate, and cultural elite’s economic lifeline to the Chinese Communist Party. It is largely because Trump sought to decouple the United States from the CCP that America’s China Class, which owns the platforms on which Americans communicate, has waged a relentless campaign of information warfare against him through its social media and prestige media brands.

Calling out the American elite for betraying American interests in the service of their own personal and corporate bottom lines helped Donald Trump win the presidency. The American elite’s financial relationship with China is the key to understanding what’s been happening in America the past four years. Any president, Democrat or Republican, who took on China would have been targeted by the China Class. Because it was Trump flying the Republican banner who sided with America’s working men and women, the Democrats resorted to alliances with powers that now threaten the stability and security of the country.

Wildfires pushed them to flee their homes. As more than 19,000 firefighters scrambled to contain multiple blazes in the state, they had to mourn one of their own, officials said. A firefighter was killed Thursday in Southern California's El Dorado Fire, the blaze sparked this month by a botched gender reveal party, according to the San Bernardino National Forest Service. The state has seen more than 3.4 million acres scorched so far this year, killing 26 people and reducing hundreds of homes to ashes.

Smoke put their health at risk. Smoke from the devastating wildfires has stretched for miles, creating hazardous air conditions in California and nearby states. The air was so full of smoke in San Francisco earlier this week that it ranked among the top big cities with worst air quality in the world, according to IQAir, a group which tracks global air quality. The smoke has impacted other cities, including Los Angeles and even Yosemite National Park, which the National Park Service closed to all visitors last week because conditions were in the unhealthy and hazardous range.

Pandemic is threatening their lives. The state appears to be making progress to slow down the spread of coronavirus, but the threat lingers. So far, there have been 782,828 coronavirus cases in California and 14,972 people have died, according to data from Johns Hopkins University.

An earthquake added even more anxiety. Pictures were rattling on the wall, plants were knocked over and some people woke up to beds shaking. An earthquake hit near the city of El Monte - east of downtown Los Angeles - late Friday night, but it was felt widely in San Diego, Valencia and the San Fernando Valley areas, the US Geological Survey said. While there were no reports of serious injuries or damage, it was a reminder for those in the greater Los Angeles area that the earthquake risk is far from over.
