USA - An annually released report by the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) estimates that illegal population living in the US has risen nearly two million in two years, now standing at about 14.3 million illegal aliens. FAIR analysts fault the increase in illegal aliens to an unsecured southern border, growing sanctuary city policies, widespread available US jobs with no nationwide E-Verify mandate, an increase in social welfare programs, exploitable asylum laws, and the ongoing promise of amnesty by GOP and Democrat lawmakers. The rise in the illegal population, FAIR analysts find, means illegal aliens are costing American taxpayers nearly $132 billion every year. That fiscal burden on Americans is set to grow even larger without major immigration-reducing reforms, according to the study.
EUROPE - The European Union has privately warned Iran that it will be forced to start withdrawing from the nuclear deal in November if Tehran goes ahead with its threat to take new steps away from the deal. Iran has already taken three separate calibrated steps away from the deal, and has warned it will take a fourth in November unless the US lifts economic sanctions. The warning to Iran, pre-agreed by the three EU signatories to the 2015 deal, was made at a meeting on Wednesday, and makes clear that the agreement is now on life support.
USA - It was a message the world needed to hear. In a place where the world was listening. And when President Donald Trump took the podium at the United Nations on Tuesday, he delivered it in a somber tone that underscored just how serious the situation is. “Wise leaders always put the good of their own people and their country first. The future does not belong to globalists, the future belongs to patriots,” he said, according to Fox News.
ISRAEL - Benjamin Netanyahu has up to six weeks to forge a coalition. Israel’s president has tasked Benjamin Netanyahu with forming a coalition government, throwing a lifeline to the incumbent prime minister after an inconclusive election threatened to end his political career. Reuven Rivlin’s offer does not guarantee Netanyahu will lead Israel’s next administration. Before that can happen, Netanyahu has up to six weeks to forge a majority coalition in Israel’s parliament. “The responsibility for forming the government will be handed to prime minister and Likud leader Benjamin Netanyahu,” the president’s office said in a statement. With a divided Knesset, the 69-year-old leader now faces an uphill battle to secure support from at least 61 of 120 lawmakers. Further complicating talks, Netanyahu also struck an agreement with rightwing and religious parties that back him to make sure they are part of any future government, something Gantz has sought to avoid.
MIDDLE EAST - The Groundwork Is Laid for a Vast New Conflict. The Middle East appears to be sliding into a war that may have already begun. At its center are archrivals Saudi Arabia and Iran, their proxies and US President Donald Trump. Regional stability hangs by a thread. The Middle East appears to be sliding into a war and it may even have already started. It is a new kind of war, a 21st century conflict for which there is no formal declaration of war, no clear fronts and a wide variety of battlefields. There are attacks the provenance of which may never be known, and while some of the fighting is conventional in nature, much of it is not and involves drones in the air and viruses in cyberspace. More than anything, it is a confusing war, in which nobody really has control, not even those who are ostensibly leading it.
USA - Nancy Pelosi and the House Democrats have begun impeachment proceedings against Donald Trump over his pressuring of Ukraine’s president to launch a corruption investigation against Joe Biden and his son. It is the first time impeachment proceedings have been launched since 1998 and Bill Clinton. Trump has called it a “witch-hunt” and “harassment”. From The New York Times: “Ms Pelosi said that Mr Trump’s reported actions, and his administration’s refusal to share details about the matter with Congress, have left the House no alternative outside of impeachment. The inquiry has the potential to reshape Mr Trump’s presidency and to cleave an already divided nation only a year before he plans to stand for re-election.”
GERMANY - Just off a wide boulevard in a leafy west Berlin suburb, the US-German friendship is alive and well. Americans play football, sail and dance with their German friends. The decades-old bond between the two countries is on full display. Trouble is, it's only a display. Opened in 1998, the Allied Museum, a free exhibition housed in an old US Army theater, offers a window into what once was — and a welcome escape from what is. Nearly 75 years after the end of World War II, the US-German relationship isn’t just moribund, it’s on life support. At both the official and unofficial level, the foundation that has supported the transatlantic alliance since the 1950s is crumbling. About 85 percent of Germans consider their country’s relationship with the US to be “bad” or “very bad,” according to a recent study, while a clear majority want Germany to distance itself from the US.
VATICAN - Pope Francis called on global leaders to join in on May 14, 2020 to sign a new Global Compact on Education that will lead to a ‘New Humanism’. Channeling Hillary Clinton's book, It Takes a Village, he wants to ‘educate’ all young people into becoming global citizens. (TN Editor)
In a renewed and enthusiastic endorsement of globalism, Pope Francis has announced he is hosting an initiative for a “Global Pact” to create a “new humanism.” The global event, set to take place at the Vatican on May 14, 2020, is themed Reinventing the Global Educational Alliance.
SWEDEN - The Cult of Greta Thunberg is an extremely disturbing one, and one which marks a new low in the drain-circling that Western civilisation seems bent on. Even if I happened to believe that the naturally occurring gas that each of us breathes out many thousands of times per day, and which plants use for photosynthesis, is going to end up being the death of us, I would still be profoundly disturbed by the use of this girl — who is very clearly mentally unstable — as the poster-child for the agenda.
USA - I’m sorry adults have frightened you about climate change and how it might affect your future. You might be less afraid if you knew some facts that adults intentionally do not explain to you. I’ll tell you here. The news was once a source of real information, or so we thought. But in the modern world, the news people discovered they can make more money by presenting scary news regardless of whether it is true or not. Today, much of the news on the right and the left is opinion that is meant to scare you, not inform you, because scary things get more attention, and that makes the news business more profitable. The same is true for people who write books; authors often make books scary so you will buy them.
Most adults know all the scariness is not real. Most kids do not. You just learned it.
UK - A humiliated Boris Johnson has been forced to cut short a set-piece visit to New York and fly back to face furious MPs, after his decision to shut down parliament was dramatically quashed by the supreme court. After Lady Hale delivered a crushing unanimous verdict in which she said Johnson’s advice to the Queen to suspend parliament was, “unlawful, void and of no effect”, the prime minister struck a defiant tone. “Let’s be absolutely clear that we respect the judiciary in our country and we respect the court. I disagree profoundly with what they had to say,” he said, before pressing ahead with a planned speech on the business links between the UK and the US.
UK - Today’s decision by Britain’s Supreme Court is shocking but not remotely surprising. Essentially a cabal of Remainer Establishment stooges in gold-braided judicial robes voted, nem con, to raise their middle fingers to British democracy and to punish Prime Minister Boris Johnson for his temerity in trying to deliver Brexit. Ostensibly, the court’s ruling concerned the legality of Johnson’s prorogation of parliament. In reality, it was yet another power play by the Remainer Establishment which for over three years now has done everything it possibly can to frustrate the democratically expressed wish of the British people to leave the European Union.
USA - News that an impeachment inquiry is being initiated instantly sent stock prices tumbling on Tuesday, but that small jolt is nothing compared to what we will experience if Donald Trump is actually impeached. Over the past couple of years we have seen a tremendous boom in stock prices, and one of the big reasons for that boom is the fact that the folks on Wall Street know that Trump is always going to be looking out for their best interests. Trump understands that his chances of winning again in 2020 will be greatly enhanced if stock prices are rising and most Americans believe that we have a “booming economy”, and so he wants to do everything in his power to try to make those things happen.
USA - The Federal Reserve Bank of New York pumped $105 billion into the financial system Tuesday, in an effort to keep short-term funding costs near its fed funds target. The NY Fed added $75 billion in overnight funding. Banks bid for $80.2 billion, $5.2 billion more than the Fed made available. The NY Fed also added $30 billion in a two-week repo operation maturing October 8. This offer received $62 billion of bids, more than twice the offer. The Fed said this was the first of three two-week repo offerings planned for this week. The fact that both operations were oversubscribed dashed any hopes that Monday’s smaller amount of demand signaled an easing of stress in the short-term funding market.
UNITED NATIONS - Greta blistered the United Nations for stealing her childhood and dreams, claiming that we are on the verge of a mass extinction and climate apocalypse. She has no clue that the UN invented the climate hysteria scam in the first place.
