MIDDLE EAST - Business people, investors and the top echelons of the Emirati economy are rushing to forge promising Israeli connections. Israel and the UAE are forging a different kind of peace, a cordial peace that is growing warmer with every passing day. An Israeli delegation that visited the Emirates this week was led by former Labor Knesset member Erel Margalit, a high-tech entrepreneur. He and the 13 other leading business people were greeted with enthusiasm. Margalit said, "The Emirates are a gateway to markets of 3 billion people."
USA - The US State Department is offering a reward of up to $10 million for information leading to the disruption of the financial mechanisms of the global terrorist organization Lebanese Hizbullah. The US is seeking information on the activities, networks, and associates of Hizbullah that form a part of its financial support, which includes financiers and facilitators like Muhammad Qasir, Muhammad Qasim al-Bazzal, and Ali Qasir. Since its inception in 1984, the Rewards for Justice program has paid over $150 million to more than 100 people who provided actionable information that helped bring terrorists to justice or prevented acts of international terrorism worldwide.
UNITED NATIONS - Israel's Ambassador to the UN Gilad Erdan told the Security Council on Monday: "Instead of viewing the [normalization] accords as a new opportunity to kick-start negotiations, the Palestinians have attacked the Emirates, Bahrainis and Sudanese… Now everyone can see that the Palestinians incite against any country that seeks peace in the region, even its fellow Arab League members. The fact that the Palestinians attack those who make peace with Israel demonstrates that, for years, the council has been applying pressure to the wrong side."
MIDDLE EAST - If the Palestinian national movement had not been addicted to terrorism and violence and blind to historical processes, they could have had an independent state decades ago. The Palestinian national movement has become addicted to a pattern of behavior that combines failed aggression with serial whining. It's important to remind those who insisted on pitying the Palestinians that this behavior is what has brought most of their misfortunes down upon them. At the end of the British Mandate, the Palestinians were offered independence under the Partition Plan, but they chose to cling to the goal of a Palestinian state on the ruins of Israel. The Palestine Liberation Organization was set up on the same basis: to eliminate Israel through armed resistance.
MIDDLE EAST - For the first time ever, the Palestinian leadership are now feeling that the Arab world is really fed up with them and does not want to wait for them anymore. The Arab world does not like the condemnations coming from the Palestinians and the accusations of treason. They do not like seeing pictures of their leaders being burned at Al-Aqsa Mosque. They also do not like to hear the PA Mufti of Jerusalem, Sheikh Muhammad Hussein, issuing a fatwa banning citizens of any Arab country that normalizes relations with Israel from praying at Al-Aqsa. I follow what is being said in the Arab world. It is unimaginable what Arabs in the Gulf are saying about the Palestinians: "You ungrateful people. We've given you billions of dollars all these years. In the end, you spit in our face and you burn our flag." One prominent Emirati academic tweeted pictures of UAE flags in the Israeli city of Netanya. Next to them, pictures of the UAE flag being burned by Palestinians in Ramallah and Gaza. He wrote: "My flag is being honored in Israel while these Palestinians are burning my flag."
TURKEY - Since a young Muslim beheaded a French schoolteacher on October 16 who had shown caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad in a class, France - a nation traumatized by 36 Islamic State-inspired terrorist attacks in the last eight years - has conducted dozens of raids against suspected Islamic extremists. In response, criticism of France has been led by Turkish President Erdogan, who said French President "Macron needs mental treatment" and called for a boycott of French goods. In Bangladesh, an estimated 40,000 people took part in an anti-France rally, burning an effigy of Macron. Pakistan's Prime Minister Imran Khan accused Macron of encouraging Islamophobia. Jordan's foreign ministry condemned the "continued publication of caricatures of Prophet Muhammad under the pretext of freedom of expression."
USA – US debt... $27,187,649,690,213 ($27 trillion) as at 19.25 on Thursday evening. Check it now to see how much the debt has increased since this was written!!
CHINA - China is demanding that the United States end its plan to sell arms to Taiwan and is urging Washington to stop any military contact with the island, Beijing’s military spokesperson said on Tuesday. The US approved a plan on Monday to sell Harpoon missile systems worth $2.37 billion to the island, prompting the Chinese Defense Ministry spokesperson Ren Guoqiang to urge Washington to stop such sales. Beijing also called on the US to immediately “stop military contact” with Taiwan. The approval of the arms sales “severely violates the one-China principle,” Ren said, while external interference must be ruled out in the Taiwan question. The Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) has the resolve and the ability to defeat foreign interference and separatist attempts for “Taiwan independence,” Ren explained, adding that the military will take all necessary measures to continue to advance national reunification.
USA - Have you noticed that poll results seem to be all over the place this election season? The mainstream media is constantly touting polls that show Joe Biden with a huge national lead and strong leads in most of the critical swing states. But independent pollsters such as Trafalgar, Rasmussen and others consistently come out with polls that show President Trump doing very well in the swing states. In fact, if the Trafalgar polls end up being as accurate as they were in 2016, Trump will win the election. But if you listen to the pundits in the mainstream media, that is almost impossible. In fact, earlier today on The Most Important News I posted one mainstream forecast that is projecting that Joe Biden has a 95 percent chance of winning the election. Someone is definitely very wrong, and soon we will find out who that is.
GERMANY - Following the presidential elections in Bolivia, the German government and business circles hope to have direct access to what are presumably the world's largest lithium reserves. Already at the end of 2018, the German company, ACI Systems had concluded a joint venture with the state-owned Bolivian YLB to extract lithium in the Salar de Uyuni, the world's largest salt lake, situated in Bolivia's highlands. Lithium is indispensable for the production of batteries, such as those used in electric cars and is of particular importance for Germany's automotive industry. However, during the major upheavals, in early November of last year, the German-Bolivian joint venture was put on ice. It has not been revived since the November 10, 2019 putsch in La Paz, despite the German government's support for the putschist regime. Following the putschists' unambiguous electoral defeat, Berlin is hoping to obtain concessions from Luis Arce, the winner of the elections - even though the German government had approved of the violent overthrow of his fellow party member Evo Morales in 2019.
USA - I’d like to tell you a folktale. It’s called “The Emperor’s New 9/11”. Once upon a time there was an Emperor who loved war and military expansionism. He was always searching for new ways to instigate military conflicts without losing the support of the international community or waking up the populace to the fact that they’re just propagandized cogs in the machine of a globe-spanning Empire which uses endless military and economic violence to maintain its unipolar hegemony.
GERMANY - In view of the US presidential elections, Berlin is calling for alignment of interests with the USA. Think tanks have been working on this for months. For the aftermath of the US presidential elections, German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas is calling for a "new beginning in the transatlantic partnership." However, "partnership" should not equate "blind allegiance," Maas declared. "Distinct perspectives" of "Europe" and the USA should be recognized and foreign policy "closer coordinated."
ISRAEL - On Friday evening, President Trump announced that Israel and Sudan have reached an agreement that will lead to establishing normalized relations between the two countries. The deal was finalized in a phone conference between the president, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Sudanese Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok, and Transitional Council Head Abdel Fattah al-Burhan. At the same time, Trump announced that there are currently five more countries that will be announcing normalization agreements with Israel. In his remarks, the president hinted that Saudi Arabia is considering a similar move. “We have many countries as you know getting ready and I’m also sure you’ll see we also have Saudi Arabia in there very soon,” Trump said from the Oval Office. “I really believe that will happen too. And very good relations with Saudi Arabia. You’ll see something very special.”
USA - California's crazy new COVID Christmas rules… Deciding how many people can come into your home, masks in your home, how many of your family can go to the park, how your dishes need to be served and packed, can only last two hours. And you can only sing if you’re wearing a mask and need to sing below a normal speaking voice. “Mandatory requirements for Gatherings” - Unreal. Meanwhile over in NY, cops can look thru your windows and decide you have many people in your home and get you in trouble.
EUROPE - Protests erupted across Europe last night as thousands of angry demonstrators called on their governments to reconsider a second-round of lockdown restrictions. In Italy, violence was reported in at least two major northern cities, Milan and Turin, as vast crowds protested freedom-limiting restrictions enforced to tackle a second surge in coronavirus cases.
