It is therefore no surprise that the company had to partner with Merck to manufacture its Covid vaccine to meet demand. It has no history or expertise in this medical field. However, the Covid pandemic is a cash cow for the drug industry’s taking. Bernstein market analyst Ronny Gal predicts Covid-19 vaccine sales will reach $40 billion this year. A more realistic figure is likely higher since together Moderna and Pfizer project their revenues at $32 billion.

Then there are the other major vaccines by AstraZeneca, J&J and Novavax entering the competition. According to the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine’s vaccine research tracker, over 200 vaccines against Covid-19 are in development worldwide. It is an enormous pumpkin pie and everyone in the medical universe wants a slice from it. So why shouldn’t we expect a non-vaccine player such as J&J to be eager to leap into the frenzy?

Definition of ‘Vaccine’. According to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, a vaccine is “a product that stimulates a person’s immune system to produce immunity to a specific disease, protecting the person from that disease.” Immunity, in turn, is defined as “Protection from an infectious disease,” meaning that “If you are immune to a disease, you can be exposed to it without becoming infected.”

Neither Moderna nor Pfizer claim this to be the case for their COVID-19 “vaccines.” In fact, in their clinical trials, they specify that they will not even test for immunity. Unlike real vaccines, which use an antigen of the disease you’re trying to prevent, the COVID-19 injections contain synthetic RNA fragments encapsulated in a nanolipid carrier compound, the sole purpose of which is to lessen clinical symptoms associated with the S-1 spike protein, not the actual virus.

They do not actually impart immunity or inhibit transmissibility of the disease. In other words, they are not designed to keep you from getting sick with SARS-CoV-2; they only are supposed to lessen your infection symptoms if or when you do get infected. As such, these products do not meet the legal or medical definition of a vaccine, and as noted by David Martin, PhD, “The legal ramifications of this deception are immense.”

The stated purpose of HR5 is “to expand as well as clarify, confirm and create greater consistency in the protections and remedies against discrimination on the basis of all covered characteristics and to provide guidance and notice to individuals, organizations, corporations, and agencies regarding their obligations under the law.” To accomplish this, HR5 primarily retrofits and expands the language of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 to include all self-declared LGBTQ designations alongside “race, color, religion, sex or national origin.”

The original purpose of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 was to end discrimination against African Americans, granting them access to restaurants, transportation and other public facilities. It has been applied to other minorities as well. HR5 now elevates LGBTQ characteristics, which are arbitrarily self-declared, with the unchangeable color of your skin, your race, your place of birth, your birth sex, etc.

Huh? What does the LGBTQ agenda have to do with the Religious Freedom Restoration Act of 1993? The implications are staggering for Christian organizations of all types. If an LGBTQ person applies for employment, for instance, you must consider them on an equal basis with other candidates, regardless of whether or not they believe the Bible or the faith tenets of your organization. Hiring LGBTQ persons at a Christian school would destroy their curriculum and closely held moral standards.

Major sections of the Bible would immediately be labeled as “hate speech” if they offend or discriminate against LGBTQ staff members or parishioners. Would pastors and teachers just rip those pages out of their Bibles? In sum, HR5 is set to become a destroyer of Christian organizations, a death sentence to the First Amendment and to all of its unalienable rights given by God in the first place.

Whatever the case, Congress has chosen to pick a direct fight with God and they would do well to rethink their actions. Pastors and church leaders would do well to rethink how they will navigate this coming religious war. Denial will not make it all go away.

The transit would mark the first time since 2002 that a German warship sailed through the South China Sea. In addition to more than 200 cameras in Tesla factories and warehouses, the hackers viewed security footage from schools, hospitals – including psychiatric wards – and a number of jails and prisons. Verkada’s own offices also fell victim to the breach.

A software engineer claiming to have taken part in the hack, Tillie Kottmann, told Bloomberg the breach “exposes just how broadly we’re being surveilled, and how little care is put into at least securing the platforms used to do so, pursuing nothing but profit,” adding that the admin’s username and password were found on the open web. It’s just wild how I can just see the things we always knew are happening, but we never got to see.

There are great pivot points in history, and we’ve arrived at one. The United States, ruptured by a thousand grievance groups, torn by shadowy agencies drunk on a gross excess of power, robbed blind by oligarchs and their treasonous henchmen and decimated by frivolous wars of choice, has finally come to a point where the end begins in earnest. We are the schizophrenic nation, bound by no societal norms, constrained by no religion, with no shared sense of history, myth, language, art, philosophy, music, or culture, rushing toward an uncertain future fueled by nothing more than easy money, hubris, and sheer momentum.

The truth is we have never been more disconnected from life, from the world, from the soil, from the trees, and from our own souls. We no longer know how to live without refrigerators, without cars, without phones or without supermarkets. What will you do tomorrow if you simply are unable to buy things?

In the global cyber war, the presidents of Russia and North Korea are the enemies. Last summer a senior source in South Korea's cyber apparatus gave Calcalist a rare glimpse into this intricate world of interests. The two Koreas have been engaged in a cyber hostilities for several years now. Hackers affiliated with North Korea attack South Korean companies and civil infrastructure such as airports and governmental ministries. A large offensive two years ago saw banks, ATMs and TV stations in South Korea being attacked.

"Defending against such attacks goes through the usual diplomatic channels," the South Korean source said. "But many times we face situations where we need to rely on a foreign power such as China or Russia. We don't always get the assistance we would like. Often we need to rely on their goodwill and trust them completely."

Fighting the cyber units of North Korean President Kim Jong-un requires sophisticated diplomacy because, as the source explains, the hackers are actually based in China and trained by the Chinese and North Korean hacking units. For Russian President Vladimir Putin, the past year has been particularly turbulent with plummeting oil prices, an economic meltdown and sanctions imposed on Russia after it annexed Crimea. Nevertheless, support for Putin is growing, and Russia is very active in the cyber arena. Russian attacks target the United States, including federal facilities and major corporations, primarily in the finance sector.

The latest attack against Microsoft was also carried out as a proof-of-concept by a researcher. Attacks targeting Amazon, Slack, Lyft, and Zillow, by contrast, were malicious, but it’s not clear if they succeeded in executing the malware inside their networks. The npm and PyPi open source code repositories, meanwhile, have been flooded with more than 5,000 proof-of-concept packages, according to Sonatype, a firm that helps customers secure the applications they develop.

“Given the daily volume of suspicious npm packages being picked up by Sonatype’s automated malware detection systems, we only expect this trend to increase, with adversaries abusing dependency confusion to conduct even more sinister activities,” Sonatype researcher Ax Sharma wrote earlier this week.

The recent hack against network tools provider Solar Winds — which compromised the Texas company’s software build system and used it to distribute malicious updates to 18,000 customers — was a stark reminder of the damage that can result from supply-side attacks. Dependency confusion attacks have the potential to inflict even more damage unless developers take precautionary measures.

Exchange essentially works with mail clients like Microsoft Office, ensuring that updates to devices are synchronized. It’s a very widely used product, to say the least. While Microsoft has sought to play down the potential scope of this hack (calling it “limited and targeted” in nature), it is beginning to look like that assessment is actually really, really wrong.

Among the numerous parties to disagree with the “limited and targeted” assessment is the White House, which said Friday that they were “concerned” about the extent of the attack. During a press conference, Biden administration spokesperson Jen Psaki said:

Meanwhile, undeterred by the attacks, delegates elected a new party leader through a voting system hosted on a separate server — a safeguard that had been set up to fend off cyberintruders. As Europe's largest economy heads into a string of regional votes that will culminate in a federal election in September, security experts and lawmakers have warned in various interviews that digital risks are on the rise.

A threefold menace: To better understand the cyber threat hanging over Germany's election, it helps to break it down into three categories.

*First, there is hacking: the gaining of unauthorized access to data in a system or computer.

*The disinformation threat: In late February, a Facebook spokeswoman said the company, which has over 43 million users in Germany, had “not seen evidence of ... operations targeting the German election” but added that the company is “staying vigilant” — not least because of the rise of new deepfake technology that lets users produce realistic fake videos in which people appear to do or say things they never did.

*Hybrid attacks: Then there is a third kind of cyberthreat looming over the election: complex operations known as “hybrid attacks.” These combine hacking with the placement of distorted information, and they often start with intruders breaking into the accounts of political decision-makers or their confidants by masquerading as trusted contacts. Such phishing attempts have become more frequent and professional.
