The European Union's deceit and the Israeli response
ISRAEL - According to a European Union leaked document, it is planning to help the Palestinians take over Area C while it has always claimed to maintain an evenhanded position based on law. What’s perceived as deception has led to a harsh response from Israel’s Knesset members.
Per the Oslo preliminary accords, the West Bank was divided into three parts: Areas A, B and C. Israel retains jurisdiction in Area C with regard to security, public order and all issues related to the territory, including planning and zoning.
Needless to say, anything related to that area is a highly sensitive matter to all, especially to Israelis when their rights in the area are being questioned, when criticism comes from the EU and when it puts into question some of the EU’s own values and laws.
This claim is surely defied by the leaked document in which we can see an activist EU striving to help the Palestinians take over Area C, the very area that is designated to Israel’s control per the Oslo Accords preliminary agreement which the EU claims to uphold.
China fumes after Japanese visit to Taiwan
CHINA - China has said it lodged “serious” complaints with the Japanese government after a leader from its ruling political party made a trip to Taiwan, insisting the island is part of its sovereign territory while demanding an end to all direct diplomacy with Taipei.
Asked about the visit during a Wednesday press briefing, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin said Beijing considers the move “provocative,” accusing some Japanese politicians of arranging public “stunts” for their own “selfish political gains.”
“China firmly opposes this and has made serious demarches to the Japanese side,” he continued. “We urge Japan to uphold the one-China principle… stop all forms of official contact with the Taiwan region, and stop sending wrong signals to ‘Taiwan independence’ separatist forces.”
TEXAS: Wind Power Collapses Again!
USA - The emergency order from the US Energy Department allowed the state’s grid operator to exceed certain air pollution limits to boost generation amid record power demand in the state. The Electric Reliability Council of Texas, whose service area includes 90% of electric customers in Texas, requested the emergency order Friday, warning it may need to resort to blackouts. TRANSLATION – fire up more coal and gas plants! Fortunately a repetition of the blackouts last year was avoided. But as we can see, it was gas power which came to the rescue, as wind power collapsed to virtually nothing at the same time as demand surged.
Texas has 35 GW of wind capacity, but output was running below 5 GW throughout Saturday, and down to 2 GW for much of the day. This certainly was not due to lack of wind, quite the opposite in fact. Whether wind power collapsed because of the winds being too strong, or because of freezing up, I do not know. But either way it was a weather related issue. Thankfully ERCOT was able to call on ample gas power capacity, both to replace the loss of wind power and meet surging demand, which peaked at 74 GW, about 15 GW more than normal.
Without that gas power, Texas would have faced a catastrophe. You can forget about importing power from other regions as well, because the Arctic weather covered about two thirds of the country, so there would have been no surplus renewable power anywhere.
How They Embed Gender Ideology in Schools
USA - A pro-transgender organization explained how they use children’s books to embed gender ideology in schools and get “in front of kids.” A video from the Gay Lesbian Straight Education Network (GLSEN) sheds light on how the organization seeks to embed gender ideology into America’s schools. Michael Rady, who runs the organization’s “Rainbow Library” program, explained that they send “LGBTQ+ affirming books to schools and libraries for free” and that some of the books are even aimed at children in kindergarten. Rady goes on to say that they “put a major emphasis on books that center the voices of trans and non-binary people, as well as books that center the voices of BIPOC LGBTQ+ people.”
He later describes the program as a “first step for getting in front of kids.” Rady also says that the program is a “stepping stone for inclusive curriculum at the district or state level.” In a separate clip, Rady says that an early childhood teacher in New Jersey who identifies as “queer and trans” was “excited to see themselves affirmed in the books that they were teaching their students.”
Books that are given out through the Rainbow Library program include “I am Jazz,” and “When Aidan Became a Brother.” Both books not only endorse transgenderism, but specifically center around young children who identify as the opposite sex. Even more shocking, both books are given out to classrooms for students who are in kindergarten through second grade.
$690K in Taxpayers’ Money Spent to Study Romance Between Parrots
USA - Nearly $690,000 in taxpayers’ money went toward studying “romance” between parrots, according to Senator Rand Paul’s annual Festivus report. Paul released the report, which highlights $482,276,543,907 in government waste, on Friday.
“Who’s to blame? One need not look further than the $3.5 trillion that the big government politicians in Congress spent on the so-called Inflation Reduction Act, which ultimately does nothing to truly combat rising inflation rates,” Paul said in the report, also pointing to the “pork-laden $1.9 trillion omnibus spending package for 2023, released in the dead of night, and voted into law without anyone having read it.”
While the report highlights millions in government waste in various areas of government, Paul chose to highlight some of the most absurd expenditures, including the $689,222 in taxpayer funds used to study romance between birds. This happened at the hands of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), which gave the funds to Cornell University. The grant was used “to study social communication in parrots, studying patterns such as social outcomes, if they kiss, and how males make sexual advances.”
WHO Labels Unvaccinated People A ‘Major Killing Force Globally’
USA - The World Health Organization (WHO) has labeled unvaccinated people a “major killing force globally” in a new campaign being promoted on social media. The WHO is promoting a new video that targets “anti-vaccine activism” by blasting those who choose not to be vaccinated for supporting “anti-science aggression.” The video features pediatrician and vaccine advocate Dr Peter Hotez who laments the “devastating impact of misinformation and disinformation” regarding Big Pharma’s Covid shots. Hotez goes on to link the so-called “anti-science aggression” of people who refuse the Covid vaccines to “far-right extremism.”
The professor continues by making several unsupported claims that “anti-vaccine activism” now “kills more people” than terrorism, gun violence, and several other crimes. He then alleges that “anti-science” has become a “political movement.”
The WHO has made this wholesale condemnation of “anti-vaccine activists” despite the emerging risks of the experimental mRNA shots. Neither Hotez nor the WHO provided any evidence to support the claims in the video that opposition to the vaccines is linked to extremism. Hotez is a pediatrician who works in the field of vaccine research and development and, in addition to his post at Baylor College of Medicine, is the Chair of Tropical Pediatrics at Texas Children’s Hospital.
WARNING ABOUT IRAN from Israel's new National Security head
ISRAEL - Former minister Tzachi Hanegbi, who did not enter the Knesset after being placed in the 46th spot on the Likud slate, will be appointed head of the National Security Council, one of the most sensitive and central positions in the political-security establishment. In a recent interview with Channel 12 News, Hanegbi said that he believes that Netanyahu will act to thwart Iran’s nuclear program during his upcoming term in office.
“If there’s anything that could be critical in the next few months, it is the issue of Iran’s nuclear program,” he said. Asked to clarify if Israel, in a government headed by Netanyahu, will physically attack Iran’s nuclear facilities with bombs, he replied, “I believe it will have no choice."
On the question of whether he heard this from Netanyahu himself or whether this is his own assessment, Hangebi replied, “I’m talking about an assessment, but from an acquaintance of over 35 years with Netanyahu, I’m basing my assessment on the fact that when there is no choice, someone has to take command, and that someone will be Netanyahu.”
Doomsday warnings for 2023
UK - For thousands of years, predictions of apocalypse have come and gone. But with dangers rising from nuclear war and climate change, does the planet need to at least begin contemplating the worst? When the world rang in 2022, few would have expected the year to feature the US president speaking of the risk of doomsday, following Russia's threats to go nuclear in its invasion of Ukraine. 'We have not faced the prospect of Armageddon since Kennedy and the Cuban missile crisis' in 1962, Joe Biden said in October. And on the year that humanity welcomed its eighth billion member, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres warned that the planet was on a 'highway to climate hell.'
The Global Challenges Foundation, a Swedish group that assesses catastrophic risks, warned in an annual report that the threat of nuclear weapons use was the greatest since 1945 when the United States destroyed Hiroshima and Nagasaki in history's only atomic attacks.
The report warned that an all-out exchange of nuclear weapons, besides causing an enormous loss of life, would trigger clouds of dust that would obscure the sun, reducing the capacity to grow food and ushering in 'a period of chaos and violence, during which most of the surviving world population would die from hunger'.
Amid the focus on Ukraine, US intelligence believes North Korea is ready for a seventh nuclear test, Biden has effectively declared dead a deal on Iran's contested nuclear work and tensions between India and Pakistan have remained at a low boil.
Taiwan makes ‘difficult’ decision to counter Beijing
TAIWAN - Taiwan is poised to extend compulsory military service from four months to a year, the island's president, Tsai Ing-wen, has said on Tuesday. He called the decision “incredibly difficult” but necessary, amid heightened tensions between Taipei and Beijing. Speaking after a national security council meeting, the president of the self-governed island stated that the change is expected to enter into force in 2024.
Under the plans, recruits would undergo more rigorous training, including the type used by US forces. They will also be instructed on how to operate more powerful weapons, including Stinger anti-air missiles. While on duty, draftees will guard infrastructure facilities, allowing more experienced troops to mount a quick response in case of an incursion.
Tsai blamed China’s “intimidation and threats against Taiwan,” which are “getting more obvious” for the decision. She said that under the circumstances, the current military system, including training reservists, is not sufficient. As things stand, the island has 170,000 active military personnel, with another 1.5 million in reserve. According to Taiwanese law, all males between the ages of 18 and 36 must serve in the military unless they are exempted.
EU blackouts inevitable
EUROPE - The European Union has little chance of staving off power outages amid the energy crunch exacerbated by the Ukraine conflict, and should brace for its impact, Austrian Defense Minister Klaudia Tanner warned on Tuesday. Speaking to Die Welt, the minister evaluated the possibility of blackouts in some parts of the EU as “very high” in the near future. “The risk of a widespread power failure has once again increased significantly as a result of the Ukraine war,” she said.
“The question is not if it happens, but when,” the minister stressed. Tanner also claimed, without providing evidence, that for Russian President Vladimir Putin “hacker attacks” on the Western energy grid are a form of “hybrid warfare.”
“We shouldn’t pretend that this is just a theory. We have to prepare for blackouts in Austria and in Europe,” the minister stated. In late November, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova insisted that EU policymakers have only themselves to blame for their ongoing energy crunch.
The EU Plans To Impose Direct Carbon Taxes On Individuals
EUROPE - Would you like to pay a carbon tax every time that you turn your heater on? What about every time that you fill up your vehicle with gasoline? Incredibly, this will soon be what life is like in Europe. When I first heard that the EU plans to impose direct carbon taxes on individuals, I thought that it must be just another false Internet rumor. But it isn’t a false rumor. News sources in Europe are reporting on it, and you can find information about this plan on the official website of the European Parliament. I don’t know why the corporate media in the United States is not talking about this, because this is an enormous story.
This is actually happening, and if this plan is successfully implemented in Europe it will be just a matter of time before a similar plan is pushed through in the United States. The following comes from a Dutch article that has been translated into English…
Last night, after long negotiations, the bullet went through the church: residents of the European Union must pay for the greenhouse gases they emit. This means that every time you refuel and if the heating is switched on, you have to pay because of the harmful substances that are released as a result. Of course they are starting small in an attempt to minimize opposition. Once this plan goes into effect, the cost of a liter of gasoline will only go up by about 10 cents…
Unfortunately, other draconian measures that are designed to reduce carbon emissions are going full speed ahead right now. For example, countless farms are currently being permanently shut down all over Europe. The government in the Netherlands is planning to conduct forced buyouts of 3,000 Dutch farms with the intention of closing them down to cut nitrogen emissions in half to meet the country’s climate goals. This is literally insane. For years, I have been warning that a global food crisis would be coming, and now it is here.
Israel set to uncork Hashemite Kingdom genie at UN
MIDDLE EAST - Israel is readying to uncork the Hashemite Kingdom of Palestine genie at the United Nations – ending UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Process Torr Wennesland’s’ efforts to keep the Hashemite Kingdom of Palestine Solution (Saudi Solution) from being discussed as a replacement for the failed UN 20 years-old two state solution.
The Saudi Solution was published on 8 June 2022 in the Saudi Government-controlled Al Arabiya News. Its author - Ali Shihabi – advises Saudi Arabia’s King-designate, Crown Prince and Prime Minister - Mohammed Bin Salman - on the development of Neom – a new $500 billion mega city the size of Israel.
The Saudi Solution calls for the merger of Jordan, Gaza and part of Judea and Samaria (aka 'West Bank') into one territorial entity to be called The Hashemite Kingdom of Palestine – having its capital in Amman – not Jerusalem. It supersedes the 2002 Arab Peace Initiative - spawned by Saudi Arabia and embraced by the UN - which calls for: “the establishment of a sovereign independent Palestinian state on the Palestinian territories occupied since June 4, 1967 in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, with East Jerusalem as its capital.”
The UN stands to become totally irrelevant if it continues to refuse to discuss the Saudi Solution following Danny Danon - Israel's former ambassador to the United Nations – claiming at the first Abraham Accords Global Leadership Summit - that Saudi Arabia may be one of the next nations to normalize relations with Israel.
Desert city of Petra is FLOODED
JORDAN - The ancient rock city of Petra has been flooded after a freak rainfall lashed the archaeological site, forcing evacuations. Water from nearby mountains in Jordan gushed into the iconic rose-red city which has been standing for 2,000 years. An estimated 1,700 tourists and locals were ordered to evacuate the area for their safety, after 13 were killed in similar flooding at the site in 2018.
Footage from Jordan's most-visited tourist attraction 150 miles south of Jerusalem shows a river of water pouring into the gorge into the entrance of the Petra temple as panicked tourists flee. Although the remains of their UNESCO World Heritage Site seem vast, more than 90 per cent of it is invisible, buried beneath the desert sands. So far this year, more than one and a half million tourists have visited Petra.
World Economic Forum cancels Twitter
SWITZERLAND - Prior to its upcoming conference in Davos next month, the World Economic Forum (WEF) appears to have joined the cancel campaign against Twitter, taking to recommending Chinese state-controlled social media apps to “follow along” with Davos Man into the future. Twitter is noticeably absent from the entities listed on the organization’s “How to follow Davos 2023” social media pamphlet, and that appears to be no accident.
To stay up to speed with all that is happening within the invite-only doors of the ruling class confab, the WEF recommends following along through a handful of social media sites. They include the US-based narrative-compliant Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube, along with the Chinese social media apps TikTok WeChat, and Weibo. Twitter, which has freed itself from the grasp of the WEF-endorsed censorship-compliant social apps, is no longer included.
Through its founder Klaus Schwab and partner organizations, the WEF has a very cozy relationship with the Chinese government. Davos recently revealed that their China office now has 40 full time staffers. Moreover, every year in Beijing, the WEF hosts its “Annual Meeting of the New Champions,” which facilitates partnerships between international businesses and the Chinese Community Party. In 2018, the CCP awarded Klaus Schwab with its China Reform Friendship Medal, a medal for non-Chinese people who do the CCP’s bidding overseas.
China calls US a ‘direct threat’ to the world
CHINA - The US intentionally hypes up the “China threat” as an excuse to boost its military spending, all in an effort to maintain its global dominance, the Chinese Defense Ministry said in a statement on Saturday, after President Joe Biden signed the 2023 US National Defense Authorization Act into law. “Facts have proved more than once that the US is the direct threat to the international order and the culprit of the regional turbulence,” stated the ministry’s spokesman, Colonel Tan Kefei.
The statement went on to claim that, in pursuit of its own interests, the US on multiple occasions has “either waged wars against other countries or created conflicts, causing massive casualties and displacement of innocent civilians.”
The $858-billion US military budget for fiscal year 2023, which authorized $10 billion in security assistance and fast-tracked weapons procurement for Taiwan, is yet another in a series of provocative moves that “seriously jeopardize the peace and stability in Taiwan Strait and increase the risk of China-US military confrontation.”
