USA - We have raised an entire generation of Americans that have no respect for the law, and now we are reaping what we have sown. I cannot even begin to tell you how alarmed I am by some of the videos that I have been watching lately. All over the nation young people are brazenly flouting the law, obstructing and assaulting law enforcement officers, and committing criminal acts in large groups. I think that “lawlessness” is perhaps the best word to describe what is happening, and many believe that what we have witnessed so far is just the beginning. I have so much respect for the good law enforcement officers across the country that put their lives on the line day after day to protect all of us, but I wouldn’t want to be in their shoes at this point. But this is what happens when we raise an entire generation without any values whatsoever. These young people are just doing whatever seems right in their own eyes, and similar things are happening all over the nation.
This post is a summary of four things you need to be watching very carefully because of how they may impact your world.
USA - President Donald Trump and congressional leaders have announced a critical debt and budget agreement that’s an against-the-odds victory for Washington pragmatists seeking to avoid political and economic tumult over the possibility of a government shutdown or first federal default.
USA - Both major political parties are working together to destroy America’s financial future, and most Americans don’t seem to care. Once upon a time, the Republicans were considered to be “the party of fiscal responsibility”, but now they are just as bad as the “free spending” Democrats. A “compromise” budget deal was just reached which will dramatically increase federal spending and will suspend the federal debt limit until after the next election.
USA - A child protection bill with broad bipartisan support is under fire by Google because it threatens to actually hold the Silicon Valley tech giants accountable for their complicity in allowing underage children to be abused and sex trafficked through their platforms.
USA - Democratic presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren is sounding the alarm. In an opinion piece that she put out on Monday, she boldly warned that an “economic crash” is coming. Actually, much of her article sounds like it could have come directly from the pages of the Economic Collapse Blog, and her analysis of the current state of the US economy was right on the money. Of course her proposed “solutions” are completely and totally nuts...
ISRAEL - Gay rights organizations demanded Tuesday that one of Jerusalem’s two chief rabbis take back remarks he made declaring that homosexuals cannot be religious and that homosexuality is uncontrolled lust that can be conquered by belief in God. Rabbi Shlomo Amar, the Sephardic chief rabbi of the capital, made the comments during a sermon last weekend in Ashdod.
UK - Boris Johnson has been elected new Conservative leader in a ballot of party members and will become the next UK prime minister. He beat Jeremy Hunt in a poll of Tory members, winning 92,153 votes to his rival's 46,656. The former London mayor takes over from Theresa May on Wednesday. Mr Johnson began his acceptance speech by praising his successor, saying it had been "a privilege to serve in her cabinet". Almost 160,000 votes were cast - which represented an 87.4% turnout rate.
EUROPE - The European Union is bracing for either a no-deal Brexit or another delay [as] Boris Johnson becomes Britain’s prime minister with a pledge to renegotiate a deal the bloc says it will not reopen. The three-year Brexit crisis could be about to deepen as Johnson’s pledge to leave the EU “do or die” — with or without a deal — on October 31 sets Britain on a collision course with the bloc’s 27 other leaders and his own parliament. Such is the concern about the likely impact on the $18.7 trillion EU economy that European capitals are ramping up pressure on Ireland to accelerate preparations for a no-deal exit that could roil financial markets and dislocate trade. The mood in Europe is dark.
GERMANY - The United States is, by far, the biggest investment site for German companies. But US economic wars and their attacks on German business partners are driving the German industry toward confrontation. Should the Trump administration, in its power struggle with Beijing, also revert to extraterritorial sanctions imposed on companies in China, this would place the German industry in a fateful predicament.
GERMANY - Germany is continuing to strengthen its close ties to the United States despite the US President's recent racist campaign. German companies have announced billions in investments in the country, for example the German Telekom, which plans to invest more than five billion euros in its T-Mobile USA subsidiary.
MIDDLE EAST - Jeremy Hunt has announced Britain was to join a European-led marine protection force to safeguard against Iranian threats in the Persian Gulf, as he called Tehran’s hijacking of a UK-flagged tanker an act of “state piracy”. The Foreign Secretary said he had wanted to “keep diplomacy going”, but the seizure last week by Iran of the Stena Impero tanker meant it had to take more robust action. "If Iran continues on this dangerous path, they must accept the price will be a larger Western military presence in the waters along their coastline,” he said. “Not because we wish to increase tensions but simply because freedom of navigation is a principle which Britain and its allies will always defend."
IRAN - Iran’s ambassador in London warned on Sunday that the UK government must get its "domestic political forces" pushing for regime change under control or else the two countries will face dangerous escalation. The public statement came two days after the British-flagged Stena Impero was boarded and captured by IRGC commandos, and over two weeks after the tanker Grace 1 was seized by UK Royal Marines off Gibraltar. On Friday Britain had issued its own warnings, with Foreign Minister Jeremy Hunt telling the Iranians they face "robust" and “serious consequences,” but he stopped short of discussing military options, instead his statements emphasized diplomacy. The UK has condemned it as "a hostile act" - and German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas has indicated European leaders are desperately trying to prevent "uncontrollable military escalation."
USA - For the second time in two months, President Trump has called out the Democratic Party for its unwavering support for abortion in seemingly all circumstances. According to LifeSiteNews, the North Carolina rally on Wednesday consisted of more than just the crowd chanting "send her back" in reference to Representative Ilhan Omar (Democrat for Minnesota) — it also featured a moment in which the president blasted the Democratic Party for its pro-abortion extremism. "Virtually every top Democrat also now supports late-term abortion, ripping babies straight from the mother’s womb, right up until the moment of birth," Trump told the booing crowd. The president made reference to Democratic Governor Ralph Northam of Virginia, who famously said that children born alive during an abortion will not be preserved if the mother does not want it. "What happened to our values?" Trump asked. "Republicans believe that every life is a sacred gift of God. And that’s why I’ve asked Congress to prohibit extreme late-term abortion of babies."
USA - Just in case we haven’t provided you with enough creepy dystopian news lately, the nation’s leader in Creepy Dystopia, California, has a brand new program. The “Cradle to Career Data System” will study and document everything about a child born in the state. But don’t worry, it’s for your children’s own good. Beginning at birth and stalking the child until he or she joins the workforce, California wants to keep on eye on all sorts of demographics and variables. They’ll do this by collecting information from “partner entities.” They’ll use this information, according to the Pasadena Star, to “provide appropriate interventions and supports to address disparities in opportunities and improve outcomes for all students.” So, your kid’s teachers, principles, professors, babysitters, and the purveyors of any state services you happen to use will all cough up every detail of your child’s life. If you want to have a social credit system like the one in China, I guess you’ve got to start early.
