UK - The work-out guru warned 'every child' now appears to have a diagnosis. Joe Wicks today claimed ultraprocessed junk food may be behind the explosion in child ADHD diagnoses. The nation's favourite work-out guru, nicknamed the Body Coach, said 'every child' now appears to have a diagnosis. Appearing on BBC Radio 5 Live's Headliners podcast, Wicks, 38, also admitted he 'ran on sugar' as a child, blaming his love of Sunny Delight, Wagon Wheels and jam sandwiches on his behavioural issues. Wicks, who rose to prominence with his PE with Joe workout videos during Covid lockdowns, told the podcast: 'Looking back now, there's no doubt the food I was eating was directly linked to my behaviour.
UK - Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a behavioural condition defined by inattentiveness, hyperactivity and impulsiveness. It affects around five per cent of children in the US. Some 3.6 per cent of boys and 0.85 per cent of girls suffer in the UK. Symptoms typically appear at an early age and become more noticeable as a child grows. These can also include:
Most cases are diagnosed between six and 12 years old. Adults can also suffer, but there is less research into this. ADHD's exact cause is unclear but is thought to involve genetic mutations that affect a person's brain function and structure. Premature babies and those with epilepsy or brain damage are more at risk. ADHD is also linked to anxiety, depression, insomnia, Tourette's and epilepsy. There is no cure. (Source: NHS Choices)
UK - In foreign capitals, people still cherish the idea of British representatives as wise, experienced and on the side of the ‘goodies’, in that they want a freer, more democratic and more prosperous world. They want well-informed diplomats in well-cut suits. They want ambassadors who know the world, its languages and cultures, and who can interpret British interests in local conditions. They want to be able to have meaningful conversations about, say, the war in Ukraine or the horrors in Israel and Gaza, secure in the knowledge that our ultimate interest is in a just and peaceful world order. They want, in short, to deal with Britain as a mature democracy, one of the grown-ups in the room. What they don’t want is a purple-haired ambassador with a nose-stud lecturing them about climate change and LGBQWERTY.
ISRAEL - Israel is preparing to strike Iranian nuclear plants if faced with a revenge attack for the death of a top Tehran commander last week. Netanyahu's war cabinet has been locked in crunch meetings over fears that Iran will launch an assault as Middle East tensions threaten to boil over into all-out war. Now a Western security official has revealed that Israel will respond to any attacks by striking Iran's nuclear targets directly. Israeli forces have been conducting air force drills in preparation for the dangerous escalation, Elaph News reports. Iran is home to several nuclear sites - including power plants, uranium mines and research reactors.
USA - NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has warned that an “authoritarian” alliance of several defiant countries is getting stronger. He said that Russia, China, Iran, and North Korea are becoming “more and more aligned,” representing a growing threat for the West. In an interview on BBC’s Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg, Stoltenberg argued that “China is propping up the Russian war economy, delivering key parts to the defense industry, and in return, Moscow is mortgaging its future to Beijing.” He further claimed that Russia provides Iran and North Korea with technology in exchange for ammunition and military equipment. The NATO boss then went on to suggest that the bloc needs to deepen cooperation with countries like Japan and South Korea to “stand up against this stronger alliance of authoritarian powers.”
JAPAN - Japan could soon join the US, UK and Australia in the AUKUS security partnership to facilitate the transfer of military technology in areas including cyber warfare, artificial intelligence, quantum technology, undersea drones and hypersonic capabilities. AUKUS was established in 2021 between the US, the UK and Australia. Under the pact’s ‘Pillar 1’, Washington and London pledged to help Canberra obtain nuclear-powered submarines. However, ‘Pillar 2’ is a broader technology-sharing agreement that would potentially involve other countries. “Recognising Japan’s strengths and its close bilateral defense partnerships with all three countries, we are considering cooperation with Japan on AUKUS Pillar II advanced capability projects,” the allies said in a joint statement on Monday. Meanwhile, China has condemned the project as an attempt to build an “Asia-Pacific version of NATO,” warning that it could kick off an “arms race” in the region.
GERMANY - In 2006, NATO defense ministers agreed that each member country would commit at least 2% of its GDP to defense spending. Nearly two decades later, some member countries have not met the target, only to be recently reminded by former President Trump to ramp up defense spending or face severe consequences. Perhaps Germany's ruling coalition heard Trump's warning loud and clear. A new Bloomberg report, citing people familiar with the plans, reveals the German government is planning to purchase two additional F126 frigates via Damen Group/Blohm plus Voss/Lürssen/German Naval Yards for three billion euros and 900 Fuchs armored vehicles manufactured by Rheinmetall for four billion euros.
USA - An environmental advocacy group is warning that the allegedly “green” city of San Francisco is heavily polluting the bay with sewage in direct violation of multiple Clean Water Act provisions. San Francisco Baykeeper says it is filing a lawsuit against both the San Francisco Public Utility Commission (SFPUC) and the city itself after learning that raw sewage and trash-filled runoff is flooding the bay every time there is a heavy rainstorm.
SWITZERLAND - Klaus Schwab, founder and Executive Director of the WEF and architect of the “Great Reset” describes the crisis scenario as follows: “The frightening scenario of a comprehensive cyber attack could bring a complete halt to the power supply, transportation, hospital services, our society as a whole. The COVID-19 crisis would be seen in this respect as a small disturbance in comparison to a major cyberattack.” Jeremy Jurgens, WEF Managing Director: “I believe that there will be another crisis. It will be more significant. It will be faster than what we’ve seen with COVID. The impact will be greater, and as a result the economic and social implications will be even more significant.”
SWITZERLAND - Switzerland will hold a referendum on the issue of mass immigration that would limit the country’s population to 10 million until 2050. The country, which is renowned for its system of direct democracy, allows its citizens to trigger referendums if they obtain 100,000 signatures within the space of 18 months. As a result, the conservative Swiss People’s Party (SVP) this week submitted 114,600 signatures to the Federal Chancellery in the capital Bern, meaning a referendum will be held. “Mass immigration continues its frantic course … with devastating consequences for our small country,” the party said in a statement. “Adopting this initiative is urgent to protect our unique landscape, our high quality of life, our above-average prosperity, and for a secure, free future for us and our children.”
It is important to understand that censorship does not occur in a vacuum. It is a symptom of a worsening disease. It is an early indicator of the political repression to come. Like a canary in a coal mine, the criminalization of speech forewarns that State-sponsored terror and murder are not far away. First, certain words and thoughts are banned. Next, certain people are rounded up and imprisoned. Finally, certain “enemies of the State” are executed quite publicly. The imposition of fear supersedes the rule of law. Terrorism undergirds social order. Oppression replaces popular support.
USA - On Friday’s broadcast of CNN’s “Inside Politics,” Representative Ritchie Torres (Democrat for New York) responded to a question on conditioning US-Israel aid by saying, “I respectfully disagree. I feel like we should remain fundamentally supportive of the US-Israel relationship, which is in the interests of the United States. Israel’s our greatest ally in the Middle East. And people should keep in mind, Israel did not start the war. The war was imposed upon Israel by the barbarism and terrorism of Hamas, which must be removed from power. If Hamas remains in power, it will re-group, re-arm, and launch even deadlier terror attacks than the atrocities of October 7. Hamas has publicly said that it’s intent on repeating October 7, and we ignore that threat at our own peril.”
USA - This is quite concerning. A new report is raising concerns over General Mills’ new cereal line after testing revealed that Trix LOADED cereal is literally loaded with high levels of heavy metals and agrochemicals. General Mills, Inc on February 1 launched “LOADED,” a new cereal line with “puffed-up larger-than-life squares” of General Mills’ Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Trix, and Cocoa Puffs cereals filled with artificially flavored vanilla creme. Trix LOADED boasts 17 grams of whole grain per serving and 12 vitamins and minerals.
USA - If you’re getting the feeling like the globalists are really pushing hard for WWIII these days, you’re not alone. In the past few months there have been multiple instances of European and US officials hinting at the possibility of a new military draft, the EU has talked openly about boots on the ground in Ukraine, NATO officials have stated unequivocally that they WILL NOT accept a loss in Ukraine to the Russians and the Kremlin has warned once again that nuclear weapons are on the table if western troops enter the war. The US government has recently asserted that Ukraine will be joining NATO, a red line in the sand for Russia.
MIDDLE EAST - An Israeli attack on the Palestinian city of Rafah, located in Gaza on the Egyptian border, would be considered an attack on pan-Arab national security, the Council of the Arab League has announced, according to reports. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has repeatedly vowed to invade the refugee-packed city despite international condemnation.
