Referring to the Swedes who spoke out against the widespread perception that the migrant crisis has been well handled by their nation, among them Sweden Democrats leader Jimmie Åkesson, President Trump said that his comments were quickly vindicated by civil unrest and criminality in Sweden itself. He said:

“By the way, take a look at what’s happening in Europe. I took a lot of heat on Sweden, and then a day later, I said ‘has anyone reported what’s going on?’. And it turned out that not so many of them did. Take a look… I love Sweden, great country, great people. They understand, the people over there understand I’m right”.

Looking at these problems in Sweden, Germany, France, and elsewhere, the President promised he wouldn’t allow the same fate to befall the United States. He said: “Take a look at what is happening to our world, folks. We have to be smart, we can’t let it happen to us. Let me state this as clearly as I can, we are going to keep radical Islamic terrorists the hell out of our country.”

“We will not be deterred from this course, and in a matter of days, we will be taking brand new action to protect our people and keep America safe. I will never, ever apologise for protecting the safety and security of the American people”.

But this time, Deputy Assistant to the President Sebastian Gorka, who was scheduled to speak to the students, had suggested that they meet the president. The plan was to take them into the Roosevelt Room in the West Wing of the White House, but Trump decided to invite them into the Oval Office, to take pictures with them for their families.

“Halfway through the discussion, [Trump] said, ‘Hey — we’re not supposed to do this but follow me, and he brought them all into the Oval Office, took a group photograph around the Resolute desk, and then — throwing the schedules into a bit of a tizzy, said OK that’s not good enough,'” Gorka told Breitbart News in an interview.

“He said, ‘everybody stand in the corner.’ They all stood in the corner, and one-by-one we took photographs they can take home to their family with each future Green Beret next to the president at the Oval Office desk,” Gorka said.

“That’s how much he loves our soldiers — our warriors,” he said. Gorka had earlier brought up the meeting during remarks on a panel at the 2017 Conservative Political Action Conference on Friday. Under Obama, he said, they “wouldn’t have even gotten into the West Wing.”

Reporters for CNN, Politico, the New York Times and other outlets were barred from entry to an off-camera but usually on-the-record briefing, called a gaggle, in Spicer's office. The daily briefing is normally open to all credentialed reporters when the President is not traveling, whether the event happens on-camera in the White House Briefing Room or off-camera elsewhere.

The White House Correspondents' Association, a group that represents credentialed reporters, promptly denounced the move. "The WHCA board is protesting strongly against how today's gaggle is being handled by the White House," said board president Jeff Mason of Reuters. "We encourage the organizations that were allowed in to share the material with others in the press corps who were not. The board will be discussing this further with White House staff."

In recent weeks, Trump has made more pointed attacks on news organizations he says have been unfair to him. "A few days ago I called the fake news the enemy of the people. And they are. They are the enemy of the people," he said Friday, in an address to the Conservative Political Action Conference in Maryland. "Because they have no sources, they just make 'em up when there are none. I saw one story recently where they said, 'Nine people have confirmed.' There's no nine people."

“By now it should be abundantly clear to the Trump administration that there are Obama administration holdovers in the 1.3 million non-defense, civilian federal workforce who have no other intention than to politically damage the White House,” Manning said.

Breitbart News has reported extensively on many ways federal bureaucrats who oppose President Trump’s policies are sabotaging his agenda. “That sabotage comes in several forms, from secretly circulating emails among fellow ideologically committed members of the federal bureaucracy plotting strategy, to working behind the scenes with Democratic legislators to create out-of-the-ordinary bureaucratic actions, to leaking confidential documents to the press,” as Breitbart News reported earlier this month.

“The Obama bureaucrats’ brazen determination to overturn the will of the people is shocking and drives home the need for systemic civil service reform, including reining in the power of public employee unions which poison the non-partisan well that civil servants used to operate in,” Manning tells Breitbart News about the Twitter accounts of federal bureaucrats seeking to undermine President Trump’s agenda.

This development should have been foreseen and neutered long back. According to a 2010 Washington Post investigative report, “the top-secret world the (US) government created in response to the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, has become so large, so unwieldy and so secretive that no one knows how much money it costs, how many people it employs, how many programs exist within it or exactly how many agencies do the same work.”

Trump is standing in the way of an emerging trillion-dollar global industry; one where the stakeholders were originally planted by the United States to destabilize foreign governments. If money is not forthcoming from the US government, selfless philanthropists like George Soros are ready to take over extant fifth column networks – and foment revolution within the United States!

No White House initiative, appointment or policy can therefore be executed under a protracted imbroglio of senseless Twitter wars, mass-mediated stupefaction and gridlocking protests. The proliferation of fake news, disinformation campaigns and red herrings – ironically encouraged by the likes of the Washington Post – is symptomatic of a  waning superpower that is increasingly rudderless, clueless and imploding from within. The Russians can take the blame – as usual!

The US has not only outsourced its intelligence to the private sector, it has sold its national soul in the process. Nothing embodies this better than the billions contributed by an assortment of foreign donors to the Clinton Foundation in return for taxpayer-funded foreign policy favours and arms sales worth $165 billion. Along with arms, comes the need for private sector mercenaries and technicians as well as treasonous native politicians and academics who can be greased into the multi-trillion dollar machinery.

Trump signed the directive in the Oval Office with chief executives of major US corporations standing behind him including Dow Chemical Co, Lockheed Martin Corp and US Steel Corp. The sweeping order directs every federal agency to establish a task force to ensure each has a team to research all regulations and take aim at those deemed burdensome to the US economy and designate regulatory reform officers within 60 days and must report on the progress within 90 days.

"Excessive regulation is killing jobs, driving companies out of our country like never before," Trump said before signing the order. "Every regulation should have to pass a simple test; does it make life better or safer for American workers or consumers?"

The effort is part of a Republican push to undo many of the actions of former President Barack Obama, who left office last month after two four-year terms.

But Syrian rebel commanders say they believe the move is temporary, and that military aid will be restored. For several years, the CIA has provided training and other forms of assistance to rebel groups in Syria, such as the New Syrian Force, which operate under the umbrella of the FSA. Aside from training, the assistance has included light and heavy ammunition, including antitank missiles, mines and grenades.

However, it appears that the CIA was instructed nearly a month ago by the White House to freeze all assistance to these rebel groups. Correspondents from the Reuters news agency said they confirmed the change in policy by speaking to senior rebel commanders from five armed groups operating under the FSA. These commanders told Reuters that they had not been given any official reason for the sudden termination of all CIA assistance. The change coincided with the change of guard at the White House, from Barack Obama to Donald Trump.

The Air Force wants to expand its forces by 30,000 airmen over the next five-to-six years. The Army wants to expand by roughly that amount by October, according to a defense official who shared the plan with Fox News but was not authorized to do so.

As part of a proposed expansion, the Navy also wants 82 more ships and submarines, a 30 percent increase in the size of the fleet. Last month, Marine Corps Commandant General Robert Neller said he wants to increase his force by 3,000 Marines.

During the previous eight years, budget cuts and policy decisions decimated the US military — concerning manpower, equipment, and most importantly, readiness — high-ranking officials from the different military branches told lawmakers earlier this month.

Specifically, General Daniel Allyn, vice chief of staff of the Army, told the House Armed Services Committee this month that only three of the 58 US Army Brigade Combat Teams (BCTs) are currently capable of immediately joining the fight in the event of a major conflict.

“The prior guidance documents did not contain sufficient legal analysis or explain how the interpretation was consistent with the language of Title IX. The Department of Education and the Department of Justice therefore have withdrawn the guidance,” Attorney General Jeff Sessions said in a statement. “Congress, state legislatures, and local governments are in a position to adopt appropriate policies or laws addressing this issue. The Department of Justice remains committed to the proper interpretation and enforcement of Title IX and to its protections for all students, including LGBTQ students, from discrimination, bullying, and harassment.”

In May, under President Barack Obama, the departments of Education and Justice issued guidance mandating that any school that receives federal money must treat a student’s gender identity as his or her sex. Schools, for example, would therefore have to allow transgender individuals to use the restroom that corresponds to their gender identity, rather than the sex assigned to them at birth.

The spell is to be performed “on every waning crescent moon until [Trump] is removed from office,” according to a Facebook page dedicated to the paranormal stunt, which involves setting ablaze an “unflattering” picture of the 45th president. People performing the ritual will need the snap of Trump, a “tower tarot card,” a “tiny stub of an orange candle,” a “pin or small nail,” and “matches or lighter,” among other items.

According to the instructions – which have circulated across the Internet – “Donald J Trump” is to be inscribed on the candle with the nail or pin and practitioners are to recite the 23rd Psalm. After lighting a white candle, the spell begins with the words: “Hear me, oh spirits/ Of Water, Earth, Fire, and Air/ Heavenly hosts/ Demons of the infernal realms/ And spirits of the ancestors. I call upon you/ To bind/ Donald J Trump/ So that he may fail utterly/ That he may do no harm/ To any human soul/ Nor any tree/ Animal/ Rock/ Stream/ or Sea,” is to be said when lighting the orange candle.

Practitioners are then asked to burn Trump’s photo with the orange candle while “loudly” chanting, “So mote it be!” or Trump’s famed catchphrase, “You’re fired!” over and over, according to the instructions published this month by “magical thinker” Michael Hughes on Extranewsfeed.com.

At the end of the ritual, demonstrators are to “blow out orange candle, visualizing Trump blowing apart into dust or ash.”

Hughes wrote on the online post, “The threat from Trump and his cabal is enormous, not just to individuals, but to the collective body and spirit. Be bold! Say the words with ferocious intensity and feel them!”

A Facebook group devoted to the ritual has attracted over 10,500 likes, and coined the hashtag #magicresistance. The development has sparked fury among Christian conservatives, who have accused the witches of "declaring spiritual war". Writer Michael Hughes, who describes himself as a "magical thinker" posted a version of the spell online, saying he had seen multiple versions on private witchcraft groups. In it, he suggests using a stubby orange candle, an unflattering picture of Mr Trump, and a Tower tarot card.

Participating witches plan to repeat the spell on days when there is a waning crescent moon, until Mr Trump leaves the Oval Office. The next ritual is set for 26 March. Thus far, Mr Trump has failed to comment on the battle between Bible and broomstick.

MaryPat Azevedo, who took part in the ritual in Arizona, said she saw the ritual as "a unity prayer". She told the BBC: "A true witch would never cast a spell on anyone without their permission. This prayer is for wellbeing and peace for all beings." Ms Azevedo said she hopes to see "physical, emotional, and spiritual changes in Donald Trump and American politics".

As a reminder, over the weekend first Secretary of Defense Jim Mattis and then Vice President Mike Pence assured participants at the Munich Security Conference that Trump would "hold Russia accountable" and vowed "unwavering support" to both NATO and EU.

Today, confirming that there is indeed a schism when it comes to the administration's diplomatic objectives, Reuters writes that in the week before VP Mike Pence visited Brussels and pledged America's "steadfast and enduring" commitment to the European Union, Trump's chief strategist Steve Bannon met with the German ambassador and delivered a different message. Bannon, according to Reuters' sources, signaled to Germany's ambassador to Washington that he viewed the EU as a flawed construct and favoured conducting relations with Europe on a bilateral basis.

In other words, Bannon voiced the same concerns made by others about the sustainability of the European experiment, if not in polite company, and was preparing how to address Europe's "failure" through bilateral trade treaties, the same as the recently "free" UK is doing currently with all of its former trading partners. With elections looming in the Netherlands, France and Germany this year, European officials said they hoped Pence, Secretary of Defense Jim Mattis and Secretary of State Rex Tillerson could convince Trump to work constructively with the EU, overriding Bannon's skepticism.

What is the worst-case scenario, if only perceived through the eyes of Europe? It was described by Ischinger in an article published last week, entitled "How Europe should deal with Trump". He said that if the US administration actively supported right-wing populists in the looming election campaigns it would trigger a "major transatlantic crisis".

Translation: should the "far right" win in the Netherlands, France and/or Italy, Europe already has a prepared scapegoat to blame, and not surprisingly, it has nothing to do with the real culprits who over the past decade cared only about central banks' failed reflationary policies which however succeeded in blowing the world's biggest asset bubble, and unleashing an unprecedented tide of social discontent, leading to where the world finds itself now.

She added that while she is “new” to the United Nations, she is well-seasoned in her understanding of the UN Security Council’s generations-long bias against Israel. “I’m here to say the United States will not turn a blind eye to this anymore,” she said. “I’m here to underscore the ironclad support of the United States for Israel.” She called out the “breathtaking” double standards inherent in the Security Council.
