ISRAEL - On the surface, US President Donald Trump’s relations with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas have been surprisingly warm, but that belies a furious critique leveled by Trump at Abbas in their meeting in Bethlehem last week, an Israeli TV report said.
USA - Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly said Sunday US intelligence officials betrayed the country if they were behind the leak of information about the bomb used in last week’s attack in Manchester. “If it came from the United States, it’s totally unacceptable. And I don’t know why people do these kind of things, but it’s borderline, if not over the line, of treason,” Kelly told NBC “Meet the Press” host Chuck Todd on Sunday. Kelly said he called British Home Minister Amber Rudd following the Monday evening bombing at an Ariana Grande concert. Rudd brought up the New York Times report, which featured images of the bomb used in that attack. The homeland security chief said his English counterpart “did” have a point to complain about the leak. President Trump reassured British Prime Minister Theresa May that the leaks would stop.
ISRAEL - Day after reports of Trump shouting at Abbas about incitement, former top official dismisses PA claims that it is making ‘social welfare’ payments, saying they are presented as ‘salaries’ in Palestinian budget documents.
SAUDI ARABIA - A leading Arabic newspaper this week published a damning column by a Saudi journalist claiming that Palestinians have missed too many opportunities for peace with Israelis and have always blamed others for their problems, even long before settlements existed, and further added that it was time for Hamas to end its violence against Israel as well as their futile dream of a “Palestine from the river to the sea.”
USA - A stock market crash is coming, and the Democrats and the mainstream media are going to blame Donald Trump for it even though it won’t be his fault. The truth is that we were headed for a major financial crisis no matter who won the election. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up a staggering 230 percent since the lows of 2009, and no stock market rally in our history has ever reached the 10 year mark without at least a 20 percent downturn.
GERMANY - Germany unleashed a volley of criticism Monday against US President Donald Trump, slamming his "short-sighted" policies that have "weakened the West" and hurt European interests. The sharp words from Foreign Minister Sigmar Gabriel came after Trump concluded his first official tour abroad which took him to Saudi Arabia, Israel, Brussels and then Italy for a G7 summit. They followed Chancellor Angela Merkel's warning on Sunday that the United States and Britain may no longer be completely reliable partners. Separately, France's Defence Minister Sylvie Goulard said that Trump's broadside at NATO allies could boost efforts toward a common European defence policy. "At a time when we want to take steps forward for Europe and its defence, it is a spur," said Goulard.
VATICAN - When President Trump visited the Vatican this week, the Pope gave him his encyclical on climate change. An encyclical is a document bearing the signature of the Pope that expresses his personal opinion or that of contributing authors. It is without religious authority and is not binding upon the church or its followers. The encyclical on climate change was written by globalists who are collectivists, depopulation advocates, and whose reverence for Gaia (Mother Earth) is on a par with any pagan religion.
USA - Facebook fact-checking organization Snopes has been caught accepting money from Monsanto in exchange for debunking articles that claim their pesticides cause cancer. Snopes, who have been caught promoting Hillary Clinton propaganda in the past and embezzling their profits on prostitutes, are now embroiled in yet another scandal where their CEO has been caught deliberately ignoring the facts in the name of profits.
GERMANY - Angela Merkel, the German Chancellor, has indicated Europe can no longer completely rely on its American and British allies in the wake of Brexit and the election of US President Donald Trump, declaring the continent's destiny is in "our own hands".
ISRAEL - The head of the Jerusalem Waqf, Sheikh Azzam al-Khatib al-Tamimi, said this would allow anyone, including Israeli lawmakers and Jewish activists who support the rebuilding of the Jewish Temple, to visit the compound, which Muslims call Haram al-Sharif. Jews could again visit the mosques and the Dome of the Rock, but “everyone must realize they are visiting a mosque, with no rights for Jews to pray inside,” Tamimi said.
MIDDLE EAST - The quixotic American pursuit of Middle East peace is a perennial. It invariably fails, yet every administration feels compelled to give it a try. The Trump administration is no different. It will fail as well. To be sure, no great harm has, as yet, come from President Trump's enthusiasm for what would be "the ultimate deal."
ISRAEL - President Donald Trump on Saturday said both Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas had assured him they were ready to “reach for peace.” Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas “assured me he is willing to reach for peace with Israel in good faith, and I believe he will,” Trump told US troops in Sicily, while summarizing his first state visit overseas as a “home run.”
USA - The US has underestimated the risks to its nuclear safety as a single nuclear fuel fire could lead to fallout “much greater than Fukushima,” according to a new study. Researchers slammed the Nuclear Regulatory Commission for ignoring the potential danger.
MIDDLE EAST - The voice is that of a soft-spoken 28-year-old, but the message is vintage Osama bin Laden, giving orders to kill. When the audio recording began turning up on jihadist websites two weeks ago, it was as if the dead terrorist was channeling himself through his favorite son.
JAPAN - The pride of Japan's naval defence, the JS Izumo, is making an unprecedented journey through Asian waters over the next three months. The Izumo is the largest vessel built by Japan since the end of World War Two - and she looks very much like an aircraft carrier.
